Rumor: Madonna, Britney at the Super Bowl

This year, the Philadelphia Eagles will play the New England Patriots. The game, which is supposed to begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, will actually start at 4:15 a.m. Monday.
To accommodate the FOXXXIX Subsection 2b Network, the halftime show will be held before the game. This year’s show features Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Madonna, four country singers with real big cowboy hats, two Simpsons, 37 Osmonds and no Jacksons. It also has been announced that former President Bill Clinton will be at the Super Bowl and, in an apparent unrelated move, security around the cheerleaders for both teams has been tripled

I don't believe this rumor. After last's year show,I don't think they wanna risk having any more controversy, lol. They're gonna stick with "safe" artists from now on.Madonna and Britney do not fit that criteria.

Did you know that Madonna was scheduled to perform at the 1999 Super Bowl, but she backed out at the last minute? What a shame. She could have done "Ray Of Light" and kicked ass.

In who's fantasy? Not only would football fns not have digged it, how could a mimed performance ever kick ass?

Anyway I heard the show wasn't gonna have a delay, it was gonna be live. This was as of last week so I doubt they'll risk anything.

Oh please, how do you know what football fans would like? Like it or not,Madonna is a popular artist. Her performance would have been more exciting than the actual game.

This is about the least likely thing I've heard all year. Britney's too busy pouring beer on her cornflakes, anyway.

I heard it was because they wouldn't allow her to wear her "Snatch" t-shirt on stage, so she was like fuck it

It doesn't matter who performs at the Super Bowl. For me, nothing will ever, ever, ever top the high camp of Diana Ross performing at the 1996 Super Bowl and leaving via helicopter. "Here comes my ride!" I still laugh when I think about it.

disbelief

Don't get me wrong,it worked very well on the Re-Invention Tour, but she doesn't need to keep performing it over and over. Why not sing something fast and lively?

If Madonna were to do it, she should do it herself. It seems strange that she even did the Tsuanmi thing (which was for a great cause, yes...but most of the people on the show are so far below her). It sounds like a desperte effort to fit in all of the sudden. That is not my Madonna!

I sure hope she doesn't. It's a stupid sport. Football falloff what a joke!! Therefor I'd be forced to watch; if even the halftime show and give the superbowl attention and ratings. disbelief I'm just trying to figure out what she'd sing? "American Life" might be fitting. "..I do yoga and pilates and the football field is full og hotties..so I'm checking out the bodies and you know I'm satisfied...NOT!" lol

"Forty years after the Beatles rocked the Gator Bowl, Paul McCartney will return to Jacksonville to perform at the Ameriquest Mortgage Super Bowl XXXIX Halftime Show. That's only part of a full week's worth of events and excitement to be held in Jacksonville. The Friday night concert before the game will be highlighted by Josh Gracin, an up-and-coming country music superstar who first appeared on American Idol 2.

Grammy Award winner and multi-platnum recording artist Alicia Keys has been added to the lineup. Keys will perform "America the Beautiful" on the field as part of a pregame show that will include Gretchen Wilson, Black Eyed Peas and John Fogerty. But before Super Sunday, make sure to check out Patti LaBelle and a group of inspirational stars at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration."

It might've worked for you Davideye, but when I heard her sing this on the Tsunami benefit night, I thought I would be sick. She was out of tune and flat. I think good old JL would be mortified. She should stick to her own pop music and leave the genius of JL alone.

Snatch was released after Music which was 2000. Don't think that rumor is true

Yes, I know what Davideye was talking about. Either way, she should not be doing that song. EVER!
