Time Capsule: Your High School Senior Year Since it is now the year 2005, in May will be 20 years since I graduated High School. Like fine wine, though, I have only improved with age.
Anyway, let us know all about what was going on in your senior year such as music, television, events, etc. Remember, your senior year starts from September of one year through May of the next year. Here's mine: Events: The movie "Purple Rain" was released the summer before my senior year so it was HUGE during my senior year. The tour was also going on during this year also. All within the same year, everyone praised him for "Purple Rain" and abandoned him for "Around The World In A Day", which was released a few months before graduation. The Jacksons had their "Victory" tour which costed, I believe, $35, which was an unheard of price back in those days. Coke changed their formula to the highly unnacceptable "New Coke". The presidental election took place this year with the first lady ever, Geraldine Ferraro, running as Vice President. Also, another first was the first ever black presidential candidate, Jesse Jackson. "We Are The World" also happened in my senior year. No wonder you don't like Prince past 1985. You are so old. "New Power slide...."

My senior year was in 1996. Year of the Macarena. :shudder:
We also had Quad City DJ's - remember them? "C'mon ride the train...and ride it!" The Tony Rich Project came out that year, too. "Nobody Knows" is still a killer song. I was really hoping he'd blow up big-time. The Normal Whores Club
