Old story but.... My mom took me to with her to a Jackie Wilson show. I sat on his lap, but I don't remember. However, I DO remember seeing the O'Jays. They had processes, and William Powell was still in the group!

Wish I could've seen LaBelle! sad

Don't know if it counts, but I wish that I could've seen The Police in their prime. Even if they got back together now, the dynamic that was there back in the early 80's wouldn't be there. Sting's head is so far up his ass now that they could never be a "true" band again; they'd be "Sting and the Police".

Two come to my mind:
Joy Division
I have seen New Order on their last Tour but I guess that is no substitute.

and Joni Mitchell
Its a shame that she didnĀ“t do any shows in Europe during the 90s.

biggrin actually, that's one of the great ones I was able to catch, at least the Synchronicity Tour, in '83.....funny thing is, R.E.M. was the opening act, and at the time, nobody knew who they where---they were playing their asses off, and everybody was just milling around ,either going to the bathroom or going out to the snack bar....

Early Funkadelic...when they were raw!!!

The Soul Stirrers (w/ Sam Cooke & Paul Foster)

Of course, James Brown.....
I saw him in the late 80's, but it would've been
cool to see him in the early 70's w/ the original J.B.'s

Early Earth, Wind, & Fire.....

Sly.....

The original Tempts.....

One of the biggest regrets of my adolescence is not getting up the nerve to ask my parents to check out The Police.

I saw that tour too. I don't think REM opened the show I saw (Capital Centre, Largo/Landover MD), but I can't remember who did.

I got to se Jeff Buckley twice on the Mystery White Boy Tour. He was mindblowing. I'll never forget the sound of his voice, how it filled a room.
