U2.com work with ticketmaster to get tickets to fans! u2 have apparantly busted a bunch of scalpers on ebay! while looking for ga seats for a couple shows i didn't get tickets to, i noticed there were notes on auctions saying "don't bid in this item" and similar ebay managament notes. those auctions were eventually taken down. i found out supposedly u2's legal team contacted ticketmaster and ebay in order to cancel those ticket orders and get them off of ebay. now, u2.com is getting in touch with members who did not get the opportunity to buy tickets and, with the help of ticketmaster, releasing the cancelled orders to those fans first. ticketmaster is emailing those who submitted complaints:
"Our records indicate that you tried unsuccessfully to use your unique code to obtain tickets during our recent pre-sale for U2.com subscribers. If you were unable to complete your fan club pre-sale ticket transaction and are still interested in attending the event, please e-mail us the following information before Tuesday, February 1, 2005. While we cannot guarantee availability of tickets, we will do our best to accommodate legitimate requests in response to this e-mail on a first come first serve basis." in addition, if you were unable to use your presale code, u2.com is giving members the option of getting a full refund of the membership cost. after all the anger and frustration, it looks like u2.com is trying to make up for ticketmaster's screw up.

I knew that they would do everythign in their power to rectify this situation. U2 has always been known for delivering when it comes to their fanbase. I'm glad to see that this is no exception. I've also read that U2's management has asked those travel companies that book group concerts to return all general admission tickets so they can be distributed to fanclub members first. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

That's good I think I'm gonna pass on tickets after all though. Anything good is at least $160 & that's just too steep. The most I've paid for Princey (my favorite of all time) is $125 & I was FRONT ROW. I'll be damned if I pay more to sit in the fucking parking lot
