mantronix Man,I totally forgot about Mantronik and the '90's version of Mantronix w/Bryce Luvah. I really liked that cassette. I found his site last night and you can hear that stuff. I'm on a quest to get a copy of that stuff on cd now!I remember this guy telling me that Mantronik made the best beats and was a caucasion brother.I saw him and thought he was black.Funny,how your background colors your perceptions. I recently got 2 Mantronix cd's ,incl.the excellent Best of. Plus,I got the Malcolm Mclaren stuff from the "d'ya like scratchin'?" ep I used to own.All of this is very excellent and fun groundbreaking and innovative hip hop/electro/dance. Mantronix did sorta electro early on then moved to dance and more conventional hip hop in the '90's. This is music we should all have in our collections. I have included "hardcore hip hop" from Mantronix here:
