I don't know how this topic came up recently,but we were discussing the baddest (insert race) in music. So,when it came to caucasion brothers,I had to really think. There are quite a few who I consider a apart of me because of the art they made. But I also had to think about what the term "bad" entails. James Brown was bad! Rick James was bad..Prince is bad.Okay,so,with that line of thinking...I conclude that Bowie is teh baddest white boy ever in music!He can be anything and anybody and he does it with flair and finesse. Bowie is a bad,bad man.He's a pimp and a faerie and an aristocrat..ARTIST. Bowie swings a 10 pound dick and wrecking ball cajones. He takes chances and coinvinces you everytime. He always has a swagger and he always looks cool.If my own father weren't so perfect,Bowie would be my choice to be my white daddy. And bowie's wife makes my mouth water. The suits are slick as greasy shit,too!Bowie rocks and he funks.... and his voice is cool as hell and one of the most memorable in music.Bowie is the baddest white man in music history.(pimp azz,muhfuqua)

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but I resent the notion that being cool or badass is the exclusive province of black people. Not saying that you personally are promoting this idea, but I think it's gotten way out of hand in popular culture. The prevailing assumption seems to be that black automatically=cool while white=lame. Again, no offense, but starting a thread entitled "the baddest white boy" implies as though the absolute baddest people are black and that badass white people are the anomalies.

Aaaaanyway, pardoning my rant here are some of my picks: Mick Jagger, Frank Zappa, Todd Rundgren, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Angus Young, Les Claypool, Buckethead(i assume he's white), Henry rollins, Ian McKay, Dave Brubeck (I saw him perform last year, he's over 80 years old and still kicks ass), Buddy Holly (yes four-eyes' can be badass), Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton (used to be), Paul McCartney (when he was a Beatle), Joey Ramone (even though I'm not a huge fan of the Ramones' music), Freddy Mercury.

Yeah, I don't like this trend either. The offense goes both ways because if a so-called black man doesn't act a certain way it's assumed that something's wrong with him. I also squirm everytime somebody uses the term "white boy". This trend has gone on too long as well. David Bowie is 50 or 60 isn't he?
