I love early Soul Train. The dancers were like celebrities to me: Vickie Abercrombie, Tyrone Proctor, Mr. X., Pat Davis, Jody Watley, Leonard Allen Jones (my favorite ).... Dayum! Guys and girls danced down the ST line together! Those were the days. If this ever comes out on DVD I'll be all over it. :fingerscrossed:

I know a place where you can buy Soul Train videos from the 70s.There are 10 volumes and each video is two hours long....
http://www.angelfire.com/.../home.html These videos cover the years 1972-1976.and there are some amazing performances from this era!! Notably, many artists didn't lip-sync on the show in these days.

In a recent article in VIBE,?uestove of the Roots was talking about how he had spent a ton of money on EBAY on rare 'Soul Train' footage.Hell,I spent $140 to order all ten of those 'Soul Train' videos, lol. There's alot of money to made here!!

Maybe if somebody (?uestlove) started an online campaign to get things poppin' DC would take notice. So many of us grew up watching this classic. [i]Oh, the memories.... And they say nostalgia's hot these days....
If not on DVD it would be cool to see reruns on cable, like on VH1 or something. And with the OLD commercials too!
