haha yup. "Let Your Backbone Slide" was the first rap song to hit #1 in Canada. HUGE!

I was 10, and this tune helped me learn about breaks.

Now that I think about it, the very first CDs I bought(I got four at the same time) (around late '86, I think) were all reissues :

The first CD I ever owned was The Best Of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5: Compact Command Performances. It was a gift.

The first CD I ever bought might have been Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 in 1989. Before then I was strictly vinyl.
