New MJ Statement

So Michael Jackson released a new statement - both on his website and in interview with Geraldo on Foxnews. The interview will air in full next saturday, here's a screenshot from the statement on his website (which is crashing under the load right now):

In the last few weeks, a large amount of ugly, malicious information has been released into the media about me.

Apparently, this information was leaked through transcripts in a grand jury proceeding where neither my lawyers, nor I, ever appeared. The information is disgusting and false.

Years ago, I allowed a family to visit and spend some time at Neverland.

Neverland is my home. I allowed this family into my home because they told me their son was ill with cancer and needed my help. Through the years, I have helped thousands of children who were ill or in distress.

These events have caused a nightmare for my family, my children and me. I never intend to place myself in so vulnerable a position again.

I love my community and I have great faith in our justice system. Please keep an open mind and let me have my day in court. I deserve a fair trial like every other American citizen. I will be acquitted and vindicated when the truth is told.

Oh, and with the trial starting tomorrow and everything, who's in favor of a sticky??? woot!

Tomorrow jury-selection begins. MJ is required to be there, and will be so for the next few months. Sessions will be daily from monday to thursday (i think from 9am till 3pm?).
There will be no camara's allowed in the court room, but apparently some stations will re-enact what is going on inside nutty

Serious questions for the Michael Jackson fans here: I asked this a while back, but am curious to know now if your feelings/outlooks are have changed any.

1. If in fact Michael Jackson is found guilty of the charges...will you continue to buy his music and what will you do with what you already own? (music, videos, merchandise....)

2. If found innocent; do you think it will help him make a 'comeback' of sorts? Do you think he will be given the level of credibility and respect he once had.

3. How many of you will be standing outside that courtroom day in and day out? Let us know who you are so we can see ya! lol

wink thanks!

Well, it ain't over now (just look at his sales) so I fail to see how a not guilty verdict would do any harm. A guilty verdict is a whole different matter though.

A guilty verdict won't harm his sales. His ability to make music, maybe, but not his sales.

MJ is a living legend. I think that his records will sell, even a hundred years from now.

He was a statutory rapist - she was 14. And since he had a history with that sort of thing, we can call R. Kelly a pedophile with little compunction.

Semantics...
yes i would downright call him a pedophile
and a Golden Shower lover...

but if he made good music, i'd buy it
same goes for MJ

cept i don't think he'll start making good music

maybe going to prison might be good

can get some Ghetto Jail Beats, with locked up producers lol

I'll raise you with proposing two stickies. One for newspaper articles and media reports, and one for 'discussing' the case.

If MJ had a shred of common sense,he would have known better. He would have known what could happen if he continued to have those sleepovers. After everything he went through in 1993,how could he be so stupid?

I think that's what most people generally think. Still doesn't automatically mean he's guilty though.

Still no MJ sticky? come on mods, before it gets out of hand.

Oh I agree, and I'm certainly not implying that he's guilty. But you gotta admit, this whole mess could have been avoided if he used better judgement.

Yes I will probably like him even more and still not believe that it is true and he will be found innocent.

2. If found innocent; do you think it will help him make a 'comeback' of sorts? Do you think he will be given the level of credibility and respect he once had.
Not necessarily, but they will learn that the mom is a stupid bitch and that Michael needs 2 leave the children alone and be with his own from now on.

1) I would continue to listen to his music and I would consider buying new music if it were any good.

2) As for credibilty, I don't think it will be the same. Once you're accused of something like this, it stays with you forever. Whether you're guilty or innocent.

3) No!
