My favourite at the moment (it varies) is Seventeen Seconds. It is moody and 80's. Totally fits me. The album is brilliant and spends most it's time as my favourite. The new self-titled album is great too, but has some more guitar on it. It sounds way more evolved because HEY! It's like 25 years down the line.... Staring at the Sea is a good place to start. It's a compilation of some of the older stuff.
And Disentegration which is middle of the road Cure. Very Dark, that one--but beautiful throughout. Both albums give you a good contrast. For a brit pop act they went really dark to really poppy to artrocky. I'm not sure if you'd dig them though--you sound more like an ATC or Liza Minelli type. | |
