This is one of the reasons I am not a fan of rap. Perhaps if Radio One bans this fool the rap industry will get in line and start treating people with respect.

Word has it that all music from Compton rapper The Game will no longer be played on Radio One’s numerous stations across the country in response to the rapper’s alleged attack on radio personality Zxulu of Washington D.C.’s WKYS, which is owned by Radio One.


Sources tell EUR that the jock suffered broken ribs and a black eye, among other injuries, following an alleged assault by both The Game and his manager after the MC’s guest appearance at the station. As previously reported, a spokesman with the detectives bureau of the Prince George's County police said, "There was an incident and he is among the people identified. There is an ongoing investigation."


While it is unclear just what started the incident, a source says it had something to do with an earpiece.

does this guy have a past? is he a protegee of someone important? why do i get the feeling that this guy had his number one album bought for him, and that the ubiquity of this kind of bullshit starmaking is gonna get dragged through the mud really soon? or is this guy someone people have known about for a while, and he's finally earned some kind of dues? i don't get it. i'm old.

Good.....the D.C. radio djs are horrible. He probably asked for it.

Until some legitimate articles come out on this incident, I'll withhold judgment. But just reading it as is, he's got the whole Gangsta Rappa persona down pact, right up to the " Keepin' it real Nig*# " mentality. This person has been getting so much hype & rep because he's associated with Dr. Dre, and we don't need to recall his history ( Dee Barnes ) and ( Easy E, Suge Knight ).

Wow, and he's only had his 2 minutes of fame. Hopefully his fall from grace will be swift and just. Imagine what this dude will be like in 5 years if he enjoys the same sort of fame 50 Cent/Lloyd Banks and crew have been awarded...

he's getting the same kind of hype that fiddy got when he first came out. he's the flavor of the month. it's weird how the more gangsta these people are the more respect and exposure they get.

You know what I'm starting to think gangsta cred isn't the real reason these guys are going over so well. "In Da Club" and "This Is How We Do" (Is that the name of it) have irresistable musical hooks. That's the real reason. I still don't know 50's dumb lyrics to "IDC" but that rhythm track is on. Same with The Game's track.

hold up, im not gonna sit here and talk about game and why he beat somebody up and why that is bad or sumthin but to say that u dont like rap because of this is outrageous. saying that u dont listen to rap because of game beating somebody up or the source awards or the biggie/tupac killings isnt right. u dont listen to a certain genre of music because u dont care for the music, not because of the actions of its performers. what if i said i dont like rock because marilyn manson rubs his gentials on his securtiy guard, or i dont like country because Glen Campbell committs hit-and-runs or I dont like soul because Ray Charles did drugs or I don like funk because Rick James burned a prostitute with a crack pipe... i could go on and on. u judge music for is artistic value and judge the artist on a different level. i could cae less if anyone anywhere likes "the game" but dont judge rap, or any genre or style of music byt the actions of the artists.

A rapper attacked someone? What else was he going to put his hands on since he can't put his hands on a musical instrument? I wondered how they got their exercise because their music's definately too slow to dance to.

They sure did.....back in the early 1980s.

I think the last time I heard a rap song that was danceable was in 1994, with songs like "Kitty, Kitty", "Whomp, There It Is", or "Rodeo". Every now and then, a rap song is danceable but these instances are very rare. Everything's midtempo.

Maybe Norah Jones should go out there and whoop Lindsey Lohans ass....that would make me listen 2 her album in entirety for the curiosity alone.
