is it from Wings of Desire...great movie , has he done a follow up to it? no, it's from the "Until the End of the World" soundtrack, which is flippin' beautiful from beginning to end. you can probably find it used online for cheep - i highly recommend it. and 'wings of desire' did indeed have a follow-up sequel, called 'faraway so close', but it didn't come close to the beauty/strength of the original (which was remade - HORRIBLY - as an american film called 'city of angels' with meg ryan )

I saw wings about a few years ago and was suprised to see Nick Cave in it. Wim Wenders must be a music fan. a la oliver stone, Martin Scorsese... [Edited 1/28/05 21:00pm]

Maroon 5 is a breath of fresh air in a fairly dark musical landscape -- definitely one of the more interesting new artists IMO. Train writes great songs, and Savage Garden disbanded much too early ("To The Moon and Back" is one of my favorites).
Matchbox Twenty, on the other hand, sound just like every other modern pop/rock band to me. Purely disposable.

is it from Wings of Desire...great movie , has he done a follow up to it? The soundtrack for 'Wings of Desire' is AMAZING!! Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, U2, etc.. on one soundtrack? Underappreciated and totally perfect. Everyone should own a copy, IMO. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

The general public shouldn't have to put up with such inoffensive, bed wetting music.

The funny thing about Maroon 5 is..
and by looking at the name titles in this thread.. it is merly associating their band name with the rest.. cause they have fallin in this popularity and chart game on their debut.. u see maroon 5, its popular, thus it sucks. I honestly dont blame anyone for not diggin those other groups.. but when I see Maroon 5 so quickly falling into the categories as these.. i wonder why.. its cool if u dont dig them, but I just cant see why anyone would throw them in this group of artists. . Those artists all create inoffensive, bland, soft rock--perfect for radio stations to play for people that don't consider music important, but just something to have on in the background. I would replace Savage Garden with the Goo Goo Dolls. Savage Garden are more Australian pop whereas the others are American soft-rock. spelling edit [Edited 1/31/05 13:08pm]

Drops of Jupiter is quite good. But who cares who wrote or sang it.

I'd never admit it if glamslamkid were here but I kinda like Maroon 5
But not any of their sappy, crappy love song/ballads I'll say their band is pretty tight, but the singer could stand to take voice lessons Im surprised Goo Goo Dolls and Five For Fighting werent included in this thread If you will, so will I

Didn't they do that song from Shrek II? That's about all I know from them, plus maybe some songs of theirs from way back.
