I Miss Michael Hutchence INXS were one of the greatest New Wave bands of the 80's, and it's still a tragedy even today that we will miss the true voice behind the legacy. Word on the street is that a reality show is being put together involving the band's search for a new lead singer. I am against this totally. I mean, their last guy, Jon Stevens, was alright, bu come on now. You can't just have someone try to top the greatness that Michael had. I mean, he was the heart of the band. He was a tough act to follow and anyone who wins this competition won't even come close to the greatness of Michael. If that's the case then INXS should just change their name, sound, image, etc., because it certainly won't be the same old INXS. But anyways, I do miss Michael Hutchence and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.
Feel free to post some pics of our late beloved too. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I Michael and INXS And if it weren't for him, Kylie probably wouldn't have taken control of her career and would have wound up like Sinitta. So I have him to thank for that, too. Kylie and Michael's father are still close friends.

remember she is the mother if his child so be nice 4 the kids sake A hell of a lot of slappers are mothers. Doesn't mean we should be nice. Besides, she was an attention seeking, adultering, drug addict. We don't need to pretend otherwise. .

Kylie admits that she misses Michael very much You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Her memory has been tarnished by ppl's false truths, u didnt know her u can only speculate by what u have read. When outsiders look in they only see what they wanna see. With what u read in the media is only 10% of the truth. Michael and Paula adored each other and all the children. Thats all i'm saying on the matter as i respect both of there memory and both r missed dearly.

Me too.Saw them (live) 2 months before his passing.Very odd.I hate to say it, but Paula was bad news,Custody battles, battles with the tabloids, still drug taking(coke),mixed with prozac, prscription drugs, alcohol, career on the downturn, all contributed to Michael taking his own life. And don't get me started on "sir bob" asshole geldof.Back to Inxs.Pick up the 2 dvd set I'm only looking(over 4 hours of material!)Great stuff, and the sound "Kicks"

I loved Michael Hutchence and INXS. One of my all time favorite groups.

So I found this Hutchence website and listened to samples of his solo cd. DAMN. Great stuff. I had no idea that Bono was on it. I'm not necessarily a bit U2 fan, but I LOVE Bono's voice and to hear them together.... Let's just say that is TOO much sexiness in one song. I just about passed out, but at the same time I was extremely touched by the beauty of it all.

Remember Duran Duran recorded "Michael You've Got a Lot to Answer For" as a tribute to him. It's on the Medazzaland release. I listen to the INXS double cd set all the time. He was one of a kind that's for sure. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

hey - 4 days ago, I WENT to the audition for that TV Show.
There's an interview online with Kirk Pengilly, (sax player for INXS) where he's saying they're hoping for someone who is distinctly different from Michael Hutchence. They all know that they'll never replace HIM, but they want to continue making music. At first I bashed the idea of the reality show, but after I've thought about it for awhile, reality show aside, I really really liked the music in the band, as much as I liked Michael's voice. I wish they'd keep going, making those killer grooves. So, I dont think they're looking for a Michael wannabe. [Edited 1/23/05 19:58pm] The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3
