Jimi Hendrix - Monterey Pop Festival (1967), Woodstock (1969)

Muhammed Ali - Post fight interview after he defeated Sonny Liston the 1st time (1964).
He even made the interviewer allow him to bring Sam Cooke into the ring introducing him as the "World's Greatest Rock&Roll Singer".

Great call, which reminds me Otis Redding's MPF set, another classic live performance on film.

It's too bad that Moby Grape, Lou Rawls, Johnny Rivers, The Steve Miller Band, and The Grateful Dead ended up on the cutting room floor.

The Machine Gun performance from the Band of Gypsys album... available as bonus footage on the Band of Gypsys documentary DVD. Unbelievable that such a moment in time happened to be caught on both audio and video.
