Hey Finess, here's a preview of what you will see at your show:

Blue Magic---they will sing "Welcome To The Club","Spell","What's Come Over Me" and then "Sideshow".

GQ---it's really just the lead singer/guitarist.He will sing "Sitting In The Park","I Do Love You" and then "Disco Nights".

One Way---they will do "Cutie Pie" and "Mr.Groove".

Barbara Lewis---she will sing "Hello Stranger","Baby I'm Yours" (preceded by a discussion where she admits that she originally didn't want to record this song),and "Make Me Your Baby".Really nice lady.

Gene Chandler---during "Duke Of Earl",he does the whole routine with the cape, cane, and suit...lol...he will also sing "Rainbow" and one other song which I can't recall (hey,I'm usually "buzzed" at these shows so I can't remember every little detail). Then,he ends his set with "Duke of Earl".

Sly Slick and Wicked---keep in mind that these aren't the original members who had the 1972 hit "Confessin A Feeling".But they're cool, and you won't really know the difference anyway. They will perform songs that aren't even theirs..."Thin Line Between Love and Hate","The Sly,The Slick and The Wicked" before finally singing "Confessin...".Cool suits and hats.

The Fuzz---they start off with one song that I'm not familiar with, then they launch into "I Love You For All Seasons".Charming little female trio.

Funniest moment at a super oldies show...

***In 1998,Evelyn Champagne King performed at one of these shows.During her performance, she invites a guy in the audience to come onstage and dance with her.Lawd, this guy must have been high, drunk or both, because he totally made a fool of himself! At one point,he falls down.Evelyn helps him back up and says "Hey,it's cool...back in the day,we had breakdancing, you know".

lol

I'm taking my Mom to this show (It's called "The Big Show, i bought her the DVD 2 years ago) for her birthday..the guy from Soul Generation Cliff Perkins can still blow..other than that, most of these acts don't have most of the original members..however, Baltimore's own Softones will be performing, so hopefully they'll sing Carla My Love

I would LOVE for one those shows to come down here. Ever since they built casinos in this state, all the old musical acts usually go to them. A line-up like one of these shows would have to go either to the coliseum or the auditorium. Unfortunately, they would not sell enough tickets for venues that large.

The only thing these dead asses down here will pay money to see at larger venues is gospel stage plays and comedy shows and during football season, those shows will bomb out also. They worship football so much down here, I always said, if Michael Jackson were to come here while Jackson State was playing, the whole audience would be white because all the blacks would be at the game. And if Ole Miss were to play Mississippi State, the whole concert would be black because all the whites would be at that game. lol
