Tei Towa's new album will be here in April!
The album will feature a bunch of guest artists such as Sakamoto Ryūichi, Nomiya Maki, Tycoon To$h (Nakanishi Toshio (Plastics, [Water] Melon,...)), Buffalo Daughter, Arto Lindsay, Moritaka Chisato, Kylie Minogue, Byron Stingily (ex. Ten City), and more!

A foreign release is being planned for summer 2005.

one word about this...YAY!!!!

so is he the reason Deelite broke up? i know they did the one album with his partial participation but that album had way too many clunkers and i sorta got the impression he was the creative force behind them..

The reasons for the break up are not confirmed...however a few theories abound

1 - Kier and Dimitry broke up (though I thought he was gay)

2 - 2nd album too PC and people didn't care about them after that

3 - While the 3rd was going back to what they did best...sales were down and they were dropped from the label. The summery R&B ballad "Picnic in the SUmmertime" while a good song was NOT a good single to lead the album off..esp. since they had lost fans from the previous album.

4 - Too many parties...too many drugs (probably). And drug references on the 3rd.

5 - Towa did depart mid album on the 3rd. They had someone step in (Ani). He mostly did the beats and bass for that disc. I also have the thoery that he was the main musical force behind them as he went on and they have yet to do so. I think he was the sample guy. You'll notice the last disc is not sample heavy at all. He had a knack for taking obscure samples and twisting them into songs.

Many fans at least from what I read...LOVED the 3rd album. I know it's my favorite...acually one of my personal favorites. I didn't necessa hear the music being less of what it was in the beginning...in fact I found it to much more textured and laid out and less repetitive.

Just my 2 cents on it all.

Sometime Samurai was orginally written and recorded in 1997 along with GBI.
The lyrics were written about Kylie's than boyfriend photog Stephane Soundai(SP), he directed the GBI video, RHCP Give it Away and Madonna's Fever.

It apprently has been updated for this project
