Bloodstone - Natural High I've always loved the song Natural High, but I recently bought the album of the same name by Bloodstone. It's quickly become one of my favorites. This album makes it even harder to swallow the fact that there really are no groups like this around anymore. Nice, Philly soul style harmonies, sweet rhythm section, funky cuts, beautiful ballads - it's got it all.
As much as I love the title cut, I love Who Has the Last Laugh Now even more. There's a beautiful string section in the middle of the song that will just about bring a tear to my eye. The CD re-issue has some good added cuts, but the liner notes are sort of a wash; almost the entire note section is devoted solely to the writing and recording of the title track. Other good ones are Peter's Jones, Ran It in the Ground and Never Let You Go. | |

ahhh.. Music from the Crystal Jukebox...originally released on London in 1970. this album is the epitomy of beaytiful Harmonies, fantastic production, and just rides on ya.  good choice on a classic album | |

Also, check out their "Go On and Cry" disc...a collection of their songs done on The Isley Brothers' T-Neck label (from 1982-84). Includes classic cuts like "We Go A Long Way Back", the epic, 11 minute "How Does It Feel ", and, of course, the title track.....some Serious Slow Jams!!
