Vinyl CD-R

I just got back from Best Buy (and perhaps this is old news), but Verbatim makes a really nifty CD-R. They look and feel like vinyl singles. The top surface is even grooved. Perfect for transfering LPs to CD. smile

i have bought them as gifts for vinyl diehards...

but i wish the labels weren't so garish. they make a silver and gold version too but then you've lost the lp look to them.

verbatim... how about a white label please???

i bought some a while back and thought they were nifty at first, but then realized it's not like you can see the damn thing when it's playing...therefore, my cheap frugal ass went back to the 2 for 99 cents neon cdr's i get at fye (plus they come in a double sided jewel case..available in purple!! pink, green and orange..of course i have a gazillion purple ones!)

I've been using them for a while now, and they're pretty cool...For some reason, though, a couple of friends had problems playing a few of them on portable cd players (but maybe that was a bad batch)...

yeah, that was the other problem...you can only record on them using a computer, not cd recorder and playback is iffy, at best.

I liked them at first, but then I realised that I wanted 2 make a cover for em instead of just "writing with a black marker" so I ended up putting my covers over them anyway spoiling the Vinyl look, wasting money sad

This is DUMB!Why would you pay for 50 black discs for $22 when you can get a standard silver pack of cd-r's for $10 with the same amount in the mall

Great, especially considering that with most CD players you can't actually SEE the disc anyway ... duh! confused

I don't have a computer disc burner. My burner is a stereo component. A problem I encounter is that not all discs are compatible with my burner. I'm wondering if these are.

Those things have no room for labelling; they're too busy looking cool.
