Rewind to 1992: SHAKESPEAR'S SISTER "STAY"

I was cleaning out my cassette collection and came across this cassette single. This was one of my favorite songs in 1992. Shakespear's Sister feature Siobhan Fahey who has been married to Dave Stewart and she was an original member of Bananarama...I think she left in the late 80s. Anyway, this thread is an appreciation for this song...i'll have to add it to my mp3 collection!

STAY
if this world is wearing thin
and you're thinking of escape
i'll go anywhere with you
just wrap me up in chains
but if you try to go alone
don't think i'll understand
stay with me, stay with me

in the silence of your room
in the darkness of your dream
you must only think of me
there can be no in-between
when your pride is on the floor
i'll make you beg for more

stay with me, stay with me

you'd better hope and pray
that you make it safe
back to your own world
you'd better hope and pray
that you'll wake one day
in your own world
cause when you sleep at night
they don't hear your cries
in your own world
only time will tell
if you can't break the spell
back in your own world
stay with me, stay with me
Let the rain come down...17 days....

I only remember one other of their songs. "history" or something like that.

It is very much of it's time.....

YES that is a great track. I love "The Trouble with Andre" as well...

I've been on the verge of ordering their Greatest Hits CD as an import for weeks, as apparently it's not being released in the US. I should just go ahead and do it...
