she always does a great job. some of my fav released ones are: Famouse Blue Raincoat A Case Of You After All Time Smells Like Teen Spirit Losing My Religion London Girls but from the ones she does in concert, the one I like most is: After The Goldrush by Neil Young Her cover of "Live To Tell" by Madonna was good as well. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I got the one that's on "diagnoised". is that the one you have too? it's pretty bad quality, yes, but it's still a very cool performance and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I agree, Wrapped Around Your Finger and I'm On Fire. Also: You Make Me Feel Brand New , LOVE SONG (the cure) on HARPSICHORD!!! Threads like these always inspire me to google Tori. Check out this Tori Covers site! http://www.yessaid.com/do...overs.html Go get your download on! I just downloaded Ain't No Sunshine.

Philadelphia is a great one..
A Case of U is awesome too. My personal favorite is I Don't Like Mondays. She really turns that song into something sad and beautiful. Daniel is probably my favorite that she performs live but hasn't recorded. So gorgeous.

I actually like her version of Strange Little Girl. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Tori: There are 2 versions of Purple Rain on there: One from 2003 and one from 1996. I had heard the 03 one before but not the 96 one. I like it better. It's just her and the harmonium. Very well done, imo.

Very well done, imo. I saw her perform one of the '96 versions (at Jones Beach, Long Island, NY). I was so shocked at the time. I had already seen her live twice that year at Madison Square Garden and only decided at the very last minute to go to the Jones Beach show since it wasn't sold out. I thought seeing her sing "Purple Rain" was my reward for that last minute decision.

Hearing Purple Rain on the harmonium gives me chills, feels like I'm sitting in church -- just where that song deserves to be. wrong date edit [Edited 1/23/05 10:36am]

We would do a few covers, including Little Amsterdam and sometimes Caught a Lite Sneeze. One night we were fooling around with the Boys for Pele songbook and practicing Hey Jupiter. He played guitar and sang and I played a drum and sang back-up mostly, but for the Tori songs I'd take the lead. Anywho when we were playing Hey Jupiter, after a while he stops and says, "Hey, this is like Purple Rain!" If you notice her "Oooooh-oooooh-ooooh-oooh"s at the end sometimes sound more like the ones in Hey Jupiter than the ones in Purple Rain. Very subtle.

I think it's amazing when Tori sings a song about religion, she is really singing a song about religion. And if it's not quite a song about religion, she makes it a song about religion.
