What happened to the giant lemon used during PopMart? In an interview with Willie Williams in Q magazine in the Fall of 2002, Willie revealed that The PopMart Lemon is in pieces stored in three different warehouses in Belgium. The giant olive and toothpick were revealed to be in storage in Dublin. It had been previously revealed that the arch had been deconstructed and used to make up portions of the heart shaped stage during the Elevation tour. "I SEE THE ARCH!" FUCK FUCK MOTHER FUCK Call and/or fax Principle Management and let them know that you're displeased. Hopefully, they'll get enough faxes/phone calls and will have to rectify the situation. U2.com already has a message about mistakes with the British pre-sale. If I can't get GA tickets through U2.com, I will be highly pissed. That's the only reason I spent 40 bucks on that stupid website. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Finally got through after all kinds of error messages, two $160 tix on the far side of the arena (Section 104, Row 10). I'll pass. Thanks anyway.

Fuck world hunger, aids, Iraq, et. all, Bono needs to worry about Ticketmaster. I've never paid that much for those kinds of seats! Me neither and I never will, particularly for a show in the acoustical nightmare that is the Shark Tank. Sorry, CalhounSq. Well, I shouldn't say "behind" but it's right on that edge where you'll probably have an eye line w/ the drum kit. Shitty seats nonetheless I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! This has totally turned into a giant cluster fuck. U2.com has now taken down the links to the ticketing page. Reports now coming in of people being charged different service charges for tickets of the same value. Some people buying $160 tickets are being charged a service fee of $12.75 per ticket, others only $9.50 per ticket.

the worst thing about all of this is that while NOBODY on any u2 sites has spoken of scoring GA seats, they are all over ebay! what the fuck!

Hopefully when Principle Management and U2 get word of what went on today, they'll take steps to rectify the situation. U2 have built a reputation on being a particularly fan-friendly band, and I would imagine that they wouldn't want to do anything to screw that up. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

thanks. i passed the info to my brother as well so he can vent, lol. i'll call on my way home. maybe enough people will bitch and moan that something will actually be done about the problem.
on the brighter side of things...its nice to see that royal internet ticket fuck ups are not reserved entirely for the npgmc.

Well, not to sound like a U2-apologist, but I really think that once they get word of this fuck-up, they'll be trying to make things right again. Honestly, unless these articles from the past 25 years are all made up by Paul McGuiness, U2 really has forged a special relationship with the fans. I really had hoped that this tour would be similar to Elevation, where the fanclub members got priority for tickets inside the heart. I really think that if Bono and teh boys don't do something about this, there will be a huge outcry amoung the U2 fan community. I'm sure they know this too, and would try to avoid it happening. THIs happened with fleetwood mac in 2003! Everyone complained and when people started calling their credit card companies and getting their fan club $$ back, the FM fan club went under new management for the 2nd leg of the tour. THe pre-sale process was seamless. Let the rain come down...17 days....

THe pre-sale process was seamless. Hoping that this happens with U2 as well; I was initally pissed that Pittsburgh and Cleveland weren't on the first leg of the tour, but maybe it's a good thing. They'll have more time to get all of the bugs worked out. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

principle management acknowledged they are aware of a problem with tiketing for the event. don't know if anything will come of it or not but they took my name and number in order to get back to me when they have more info. they also said something will be posted on u2.com. sounds to me like they are trying to figure out a way to solve the problem.

ok...so i got tickets. not tickets that were worth joining any club for but tickets nonetheless. i suppose these are my "at least i'm in the building" tickets. on saturday i'll be joining the rest of the herd in line for the "real" tickets. if i can score better seats i will just have a raffle or something and get rid of these seats at face value.
