Beauty and ugliness are in the eye of the beholder. I never say anyone is ugly cuz certain aspects of a person's appearance can't be helped. Why should anyone be called ugly? It would be better to say you don't find someone attractive or appealing, or they're not your type. Now I'm the last person to be PC in any way, but I think the only thing that's ugly is how people throw that word around the way they do.

when i think of an ugly band, i immediately think of none other than THE RAMONES. love their music - DAMN, do i love their music!!! - but that joey ramone, bless him, was ONE UGLY DUCK. still, there was something sexy about the way he performed. i don't know how he could pull off being so butt-ass-ugly and be so sexy at the same time, but i guess that's what made him a rock star. and again, patti smith is a goddess to the nth degree, but she's joey ramone in drag. Shane MacGowan has to be the UGLIEST man ever (fair enough MJ is pretty freaky, but shane was BORN that way - ouch).
For bands though, Oasis are pretty bad, and the Sex Pistols weren't pretty - but what about SLADE? five of them, and they were ALL ugly - what are the odds on that? All those who believe in telekinetics, raise my hand...
