lol Solid Gold for the cheese factor. But I'd love all three on DVD. I don't think it'll ever happen with music clearance issues. Broadcast is one thing, selling on DVD is another.

I'd love to have that one too. There are so many musical shows I wish they would release on DVD such as:

"Soul Train" from the 1970s and early 1980s.
"Black Gold" (a local "Soul Train" type show that was in my area at that time)
"American Bandstand" from the 1970s and the early 1980s
"Solid Gold"
"Dance Fever"
"The Midnight Special"
"Don Kirshner's Rock Concert"
Andy is a four letter word.

I agree. I have many taped episodes of the show including both performances of P doing "Little Red Corvette" and the best one, "1999". I loved Solid Gold. I remember Arsenio used to be on there sometimes. Great period, very early 80's.

These were two of my favorite shows. I thought I read about the possibilities of a DVD a while back but haven't heard anything since.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I don't know. Getting "Solid Gold" on DVD to like is the equivalent of spending good cash on a "Dynasty" box set. In other words, a complete waste of cash.

80's relics!

My favorite dancer was Darcelle. She was the sistuh with the bad shape and really long braids. (I think she was married to someone famous, but I can't remember who.)

I only saw Sum 41s "We're All to Blame" video once, but I liked it because it spoofs the Solid Gold Dancers. biggrin

Personally, I would LOVE to see early Soul Train shows on DVD. I'd even go out an buy a DVD player! thumbs up!
