Ann Nesby or Martha Wash- stronger cd? Ann Nesby of Sounds Of Blackness fame, had a really nice cd back in like 1998...very strong production...good balance of slow jams and uptempo cuts.
Legendary Martha Wash (of Two Tons of Fun fame, and the voice behind Black Box's and C+C Music Factory's biggest hits), also had a pretty decent solo effort you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I've only heard one track by Ann Nesby which is a techno house type remake of Brainstorm's "Loving Is Really My Game". It's pretty good and if she has some more stuff like that, I'm going to have to check her out.
I can't imagine anyone beating Martha Wash though. She's the absolute queen of house in my book. Andy is a four letter word.

Ann Nesby actually has put out three solo albums, "I'm Here", "Make Me Better" & "Put it on Paper" I own all of them!!!!
I actually fell in love w/ her voice and music when she was a lead vocalist in Sounds of Blackness. She is one the greatest and one of the most under-rated artists of our day. She has done some wonderful Gospel-House songs, in addition to her secular songs and gospel tunes. Martha Wash is a Classic Artist, But i must say Ann Nesby does have some great cd's. For any1 who hasnt picked up her records, I definetly recommend any1 one of them. I especially am attached to Im here, her first solo album. Tracks like, I'm still wearing your name, This weekend, Can i get witness, lord, how I need you. Are the my favorites track's..... I wish for her continue'd success .. Blessings Ann BTW, the prince connection. Prince helped bring Sounds of Blackness (Ann Nesby) to the forefront when they started out in MPLS.
