eek http://www.indie-music.co...e&sid=3522

attempt to replace this famous face....

I was in love with this man when I was 12...I thought I would die with every INXS album ever made!...then I forgot about them when I was 13 cry
Now INXS is a reality show thumbs up! Now I think that I'll die with everything on TV being a reality show disbelief lol
If you have to ask, it's more than worth it.

Someone said TTD fronted for them on a few gigs. That would be a great match.

The idea of a replacement for the lead singer is hardly unprecedented (as has already been pointed out), but the notion of making a reality show out of the whole thing just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. It just seems that htey should've found a new replacement organically, instead of making such a huge production out of the whole deal.

you know what? im not a purist when it comes to how a band is formed....if there is chemistry and talent it doesnt matter..

wanna know something else? im not going to be biased against these american idol/teen idol kids either for the same reason.....a lot of the motown folks were "discovered" during talent shows...and thats all american idol really is....

I'm a sucker for Am Idol for its entertainment value, and I'm sure I like quite a few bands/musicians who went that route or a similar route. Like the carnivore who doesn't go hunting because they don't want to look at the carcass before its nicely formed into sausages or shoes, I guess I wishfully think or hope that the ones I like hold real talent for writing songs, lyrics, etc...but you do bring up a good point- many of those who were discovered thru this avenue probably do have real talent, its just another way of getting discovered shrug
