Glad he won. Speech was touching, kinda sweet, kinda funny, kinda too long. His nod to Prince made me giggle. Two In Living Color alumni in the same category, too.

Oscars are no surprises (sometimes the Golden Globes and other shows are). Paul Giamatti is a distant second and frankly, I think people like Jamie Foxx more (Paul is a character actor and frankly looks scary now!) so I would be shocked if Jamie doesn't win

Jamie Foxx should win the Oscar. The only REALLY strong challenger I've seen is Don Cheadle for his mind blowing performance in Hotel Rawanda. Unfortunately, we know how the "good 'ol boy" Oscar system is handled. Therefore I would not be surprised if neither of them won.

I can't really saw who I think should win anything becuase I don't think I've seen any of the movies that are being heavily discussed for Oscars (it's always movies that come out late). Again, don't be shocked when Jamie wins.

That goes to show you that Kennon Ivory Wayans had a great eye for talent. I mean damn, Jim Carey and Jamie Foxx are bigger than any of the Wayans brothers. They both made the transition from comedy to dramatic acting very well. Let's not forget, one time fly girl, Jennifer Lopez also. Although she can't sing, she did start her career there.

Your comment is misleading and inaccurate. I've already stated my opinion on Jamie Foxx's Oscar chances, but suffice to say that I think there are a few strong candidates. I'll agree that Oscar doesn't always award the "best" in each category but labeling it a good ole boy system is an inappropriate knee-jerk reaction to their system. The people that vote in that category are other actors - men and women - not a bunch of rednecks as your comment would lead some to believe.

He's got an excellent eye for talent. Unfortunately, the other eye that he uses to gauge the stupidity of a script needs to get checked out pronto!

Everytime I remember his Arsenio Hall sketches from In Living Color, I fuckin' choke from laughing(esp with the twist & roll dance he comes up with ). [Edited 1/18/05 10:40am]
