Here's what beck.com had to say bout this

Speaking of, as some of you may have seen, the new Beck album, tentatively due out March 28th, has unceremoniously been leaked onto the masses. This is NOT the final album. It is an early unmixed, unmastered version that is not the final sequence, so please be aware this is not what Beck intended to happen or bestow onto his fans.

Im gonna review this "demo" unmixed version of the new cd..

a lot of comparisons will be made, simply because i believe a majority of these are from his past albums he decided to keep for this future album...

that sure is how it sounds, huh? of course, 'odelay' had TONS of samples on it...remember the "deconstructing beck" cd that had all the source material the dust brothers used on that album? i bet they'll lay so much stuff on those tracks, they'll be completely different animals when we hear the final version in march.

I can literally put a finger on just about every track and take an educated guess at which era.. it really sounds like a combination of every album he has put out.. with a more profound outlook.. meaning the songs are more well written than his earlier work.. I always felt Odelay's songs werent fully thought out.. just a bunch of random thoughts for music.. which in itself made it great and different.. but u feel what im getting at? I just think the hook and structure of these tracks are more well thought out and will be looked at as a great piece of work.. and i've only been jammin to this album for around 24 hours.. It hit me in a terrific way and I believe this will be one of his top albums.

It says its encoded that way.. and its in bold terms.. thought it was strange

It's been encoded using the Fraunhoffer (sp?) mp3 codec. Basically, the Fraunhoffer Institute basically invented mp3. It's like the "official" codec, although most audiophiles agree that the Lame codec is as good, if not better. Lame is open-source, whereas Fraunhoffer isn't. You can't obtain the Fraunhoffer codec on it's own, it's usually bundled as part of other software. There are ways and means to "obtain" it though.

Wow.. There is some amazing effort in this..

its funky, rockish, and bluesy.. soulful and his vocals are top notch.

He really has found his sound... and its better than ever..

Just think Sea Change funked over (i say this cause his vocals are damn near the same)

funky funky funky loops... and some kickas guitar playin

woot! I can't wait to hear this then. nod

I believe this is to be correct...

Brazilica is Missing
Nazarine is Emergency Exit
Summer Girl is Girl
"track 11" is Rental Car
"track 12" is Broken Drum
Nazarine is Emergency Exit

So.. now this should be correct

E-Pro
Que Onda Guero
Girl
Missing
Black Tambourine
Earthquake Weather
Hell Yes
Broken Drum
Scarecrow
Go It Alone
Farewell Ride
Rental Car
Emergency Exit
