Madonna Reinvention Tour Questions? OK, I was having "goodbye-good luck in your new job" drinks with a friend last night and I was sitting next to this guy who was talking really loud but he reminded me of a middle-eastern "Jack" from Will & GRACe and couldn't help but giggle at the stories he was telling.
But then I hear him talk about how he saw Madonna in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami last summer and said both shows she did DRESS YOU UP. I turned around and interrupted and said "No way! she didn't do dress you up at the NYC show I saw." He got all excited that I had seen the Madonna show too and we started talking about the show and I mentioned the only thing that annoyed me was that she just walked off the stage when the "Reinvent Yourself" sign came up. SO he goes something like...."Not at the shows I saw in Florida ... and at the very end after the show was over, she came out and talked to the audience for a few minutes. First off: I didn't realize Madonna added DRESS YOU UP into some shows (I know she was rehearsing it)...Miami/Ft. Laud. folks, can you confirm? I'm kinda salty as I would have loved to have seen this. Second: Madonna talking to the audience for a few minutes after the show ended? DO I have another reason to be salty? Let the rain come down...17 days....

No, but U do have reason 2 b suspicious. That guy was talking out his booty. "Dress You Up" was originally slated 2 b on the set list but was cut and never per4med on the tour. As far as the "audience chat" goes, maybe he had 2 much 2 drink and mistook 1 of the many drag queens that turned up 4 the concert as her. It was funny in the weeks and months leading up the tour, there were so many crazy rumors about what songs would be performed....
"Justify My Love"---a hard rock version "Dress You Up" "Lucky Star" "Easy Ride" "Love Profusion" (replacing "Crazy For You" on some dates) "Nothing Really Matters" "Borderline" "Ray Of Light" "Take A Bow" most of these songs were actually rehearsed, but ultimately deleted from the final setlist."Material Girl" was a last-minute addition to the setlist,I think it replaced "Dress You Up".

If Like a virgin was added, it would have been awesome. And she could be sexy during the performance. She could re-invent the masturbating on the bed bit, with something more spiritual and kaballah-like. And a rock version of Justify My Love would be awesome as well.....to replace material girl, which i didn't like too much. I would have preferred Dress you Up to Material Girl anyday. Love Profusion replacing Crazy for you would be just crazy (no pun intended) I almost wept when she dedicated it to her fans. Madonna does have a heart, for her supporters at least. The rest can burn Lucky Star and Borderline would have been cool, but i was content with "Burning Up" which was awesome [Edited 1/17/05 8:00am]
