Prince on a ballad tip wasn't too good. Though "one kiss at a time" is a great slow jam.

U know I go 4 my mullet man. The ball busting Michael Bolton. Only usually the diane Warren songs I like though. Iam a real sucker 4 her pretty melodies and corny lyrics.

Michael Bolton beats anything Mariah or celine ever done.

Narada Michael Walden usually produced the best twinkly 80's-early 90's ballads.

David Foster crops up on a producing tip too.

What the? Have you lost your ever loving mind.
nuts chainsaw talk to the hand disbelief

It looks like U like those sappy Top 40 David Foster/Narda Michael Warden ballads and not the sex type/ bump n grind ballads like Prince or Silk, etc.

David Foster did some great work with Whitney Houston and other Arista recording artist but Prince has always had the best soul ballads, followed by Babyface (who also gave us Boys II Men classics like End of The Road and I'll Make Love 2 U. Jimmy Jam and Terry are also up there with the best produced ballads. Study your history man - I think U R missing the boat.

biggrin I do like the sappy stuff I'll admit. The synclavier (is that right?) has a lovely sound that dominates all them alte 80's-early 90's power ballads. i nmaed a few more later on though after Pailsey prompted me to re-consider smile

As far as babyface goes, i love "whip appeal" and those classic tevin campbell tracks he did.

"please don't go" by Boyz to men is great. I always prefer other huge hit "one bended knee" t "i'll make love to you" by Boyz to men.

Slow jams include the newjack era mainly. like:-

"why me" "I'll give all my love to you" "merry go round" "in the rain"-Keith sweat

"playing games" and virtually most al b sure slowies

"24/7"- dino (classic song)

"love high" "surrender"- Jeff redd.....the list goes on!
