Its golden. It was worth the bazillion years it took her/them to release. I love it.

It's as good as any other Sade album - fantastic. I love that her style has changed very little over the years, because it really works for her.

I love it. I only bought it a few months ago myself. And now I
can't stop hitting myself over the head for not picking it up
when it was first released because it is realy very good.

That whole album is just as joy to listen to. So many good and
solid songs on there!

loved it, i also have the live version on cd. although i liked the album i didn't think it was her best. the only thing about the live version is that they didn't feature the whole entire concert on it, which is really sad, but it is featured on the live dvd that i still don't have at the moment but my favs off the studio album are:

king of sorrow
somebody already broke my heart
all about our love
every word
lovers rock

music
but my best is:

I don't skip not one song on this album... queen
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I listened to it and its cool..I think the CD with ORDINARY LOVE and FEEL NO PAIN is better, I do like this one and as someone said, her style has NOT changed..I especially love SLAVE SONG..I think thats the strongest song on this package....a nice CD!

I wouldn't call it her "very best" LP, but it had some noteworthy tunes such as the title track, "It's All About Our Love," "By Your Side" and "King of Sorrow." It's her sleeper album. More people should get into it.

nod I totally feel you here. I wore out this album every night for years it seems like. "Frankie's First Affair" completely had me floored. "Cherry Pie," "When Am I Going To Make A Living," "Smooth Operator," everything on this LP struck gold (or should I say diamond).

Promise is a painstakingly delectable effort by Sade, and when I say Sade, I'm referring to the collective -- Miss Sade Adu, Andrew Hale, Stuart Matthewman and Paul Denman. This album was high-quality, premium material. From opening (Is It A Crime) 'til close (Maureen), a complete gem.
