Does anyone remember FIONA (not Fiona apple)? Metal Chick Fiona had a few metal hits in the mid and late 80s..."Talk to Me" and that duet with Kip Winger in 1989 "Everything you do...you're sexin' me"
I was listening to a CD i have of a radio show I once did in college back in 1993 and my format was classic and glam "hair band" rock. For some reason I remember freaking out when I found her 1986 record in the radio station library "Beyond the Pale." Not really sure what happened to her...maybe she was overshadowed by Lita Ford's success... Anyway if you remember her, share your thoughts (even if they are bad!) Okay, I wasn't making it up. From allmusic.com:
He studied classical guitar and moved to New York with his then-current band seeking a record deal; when one didn't materialize, he returned home and obtained his GED in order to study music at Denver University, simultaneously taking ballet classes from the Colorado State Ballet (which he joined for a time). That's how he came up with those fancy dance moves in the Seventeen video. I remember lots of spins...lots of them. lol | |
