Goldfrapp Any fans? I can't believe I missed her debut and slept on her for so long. "Lovely Head" is a beautiful and haunting song. She reminds me of Beth Gibbons on that song. Actually I'm in love with the whole Felt Mountain album. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

i LOVE the first album and i REALLY LIKE the second album. the first one has a definite retro/morricone/bond movie feel to it, and the second one is just more of a good dance album. either way, alison goldfrapp is just way cool by me.

i would totally do her.
i love both of their albums, and their double DVD is awesome, too.

The 'Wonderful Electric' live DVD is amazing. Also check out their covers of "Physical" and "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" on the b-sides of their singles. Very cool.

i saw her in concert in london when she was touring the first album. she was great! i like the second album and can't wait to see which direction she'll go into next. i hope she sticks with the electro pop stuff. the other stuff is a little too slow and boring for my taste.

I haven't seen her dvd yet or heard her covers. It's on my "to do" list now....thanks I listened to Black Cherry a few times, but it doesn't hold a candle to Felt Mountain, imo. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Yeah, their shit is kinda' sexy. I've been on a tear ordering all these downtempo/cinematic/chill/ambient/electronic cd's. I like that Felt Mtn cd a lot and Lovely Head is just hauntingly beatiful.I am always trying to get more and more tunes, but I hope when I die that I can take all my music with me. I'm still keeping hope alive. Though on thier DVD they mentioned that the audience that showed up to see them was the largest they've ever had: 5000 With numbers like that, I can see why they've never ventured over to the U.S. Shit, you have to order thier cds from the U.K. if you want to get your hands on their stuff. I'm sure they'd be surprised with the turnout if they decided to hit a couple of the big cities here in the states. Sorry, I forgot this thread was about Goldfrapp.

Remember people, this thread is about Goldfrapp, the group, not Alison Goldfrapp solo, so no more singular pronouns, okay?

I know they're a duo...it's just a habit. I think this was drifting off into a Moloko thread anyway. which is fine, I'm open for whatever. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Ok...I'm ready to eat crow. I decided to give Moloko a full chance this time and listened to Things to Make and Do...and LOVED it after the first listen. Which is kinda rare for me, since it takes at least two listens to see. "Sing it Back" was the only song I didn't really care for from that album, and ironically it was one of the random songs that I downloaded a while back to see if I would like them. It looks like I did pick the worst tracks "Pleasure Seeker" and "Indigo" and my favorites. "If You Have a Cross..." is kinda weird in a good way, and the title is extremely long. I don't know where this album stands with die-hard Moloko fans, but I love it. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
