Britney + Alanis = Smelly Farturdo C'mon now , it's not that bad , just a little nasal at times And her second album is less nasal.

It's one of my favorites! If you enjoy spanish music...Juanes is an excellent artist. Download; "A Dios Le Pido", for a more typical example of his music. I love Fotografia too....I posted about Juanes a couple days ago....go download La Paga and Mala Gente too

She's Canadian with Portuguese origine! Those songs are in Portuguese! Ummm, do your research. I just listened and she IS singing in SPANISH with Juanes and yes she is of Portuguese decent/origin. That doesn't mean you can ASSume she's not singing in Spanish, as Juanes probably couldn't say a lick of Portuguese to save his life. And this is coming from a fluent speaker of both. As for Nelly, I was disappointed by her 2nd album. Something was lacking in my opinion and had quite a bit of fillers on it. I think Picture Perfect is a lovely piece of music but she kinda ruined it lyrically and vocally, especially when she tries to hit those notes after the bridge. She seems more nasal in this album, but her debut album was so infectious! I loved it and she was indeed very creative. On the other hand, Abierman, she did sing a song in Potuguese on her first album, which I thought was beautiful. I think of Nelly's singing more as rap-talking, because she has this broken flow style and tends to sing-talk. I for Nelly for her style, vocals, creativity, and song writing abilities.

I must be über-different because that is one of her most beautiful songs. I can feel her singing that track and it touches me very deeply. AND EVERYTHING AFTER THE BRIDGE IS AMAZING. One of my favorite songs of the noughties. It's true. We all listen to music differently.

Me too. Saw her live last summer when I was kinda depressed and she managed to cheer me up a great deal. I had never seen her before, just knew some of her tunes from the radio. But her show strangely touched me, although before that day I never really made a connection with her music. The show was full of joyfull energy and love for life, it really touched me, even to the point of crying. I know this sounds weird, but after the show was finished I felt so much better than before it, and from that moment on I kind of lost my depressed feelings. I must say that I seldom listen to her music anymore but I know at that day I felt the power of music again, the healing power of music. And I am still thankfull that she let me see the positive things in life again. Amen! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Well at least enough research to know what you are posting about before you commit to it in writing. I don't claim to know everything...but I sure as hell know when I'm listening to SPANISH. Janis was a fabulous singer (altho she did shout a lot) No, I'm not kidding. Technically speaking, Janis had a horrible voice. But that's not so important because she was a GREAT vocalist. She had great stage presence and translated emotions extremely well when she sang, so it gave her the illusion that she had a nice voice -which she didn't so much. This is similarly true of Prince.

Well, I wouldn't say Prince has a horrible voice -it's a step or three above Janis, but he definitely does not have a great voice. No big though -the emotiveness (is that a word?) and stage presence more than make up for it. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
