i really did not understand that cd by cody chesnutt. it was weird and not in a good way. man, i really need to sell these cd's now that i think of it.

I read a horrible review of it on Slate.com and still bought it. Slate hates everything, I figured. This time they were right.

Vanessa Williams "Sweetest Days"..so dissapointed after her awesome first two cds.

Speaking of Vanessa. I regret buying "Next." I liked the songs "Happiness" and "Who Were Ya Thinkin' 'Bout," put them on a blank cassette and sold the CD.

and

Guns & Roses "Appetite for Distruction"...I dont know, maybe hard rock isnt for me but i bought into the hype and bought it and was soo over it after one listen..but then i was like 14 at the time..

but, these are the only two cd's i've ever given away.....and ive kept some major crap in my collection (paula abdul's vibeology....lil luis.....)

I was just listening to my ancient vanessa willimas cd "the right stuff" (I think that was it, she is wearing red dress on cover)

"right stuff" is a cool song. Jody Watley can kick her but though on a funky tip!

"vibeology" by Paula Abdul is not crap either.....get over urself. Track is great, thanx to the family stand!

I liked Chaos A.D and Roots and the song beneath the remains off the album btr, but i guess i'm just a dumb metal head. The o.d.b album n**** had some of the neptunes best stuff.

I like Nico but i regret buying the Marble Index. Does anyone else know this album?

So, I liked Butterfly. I go to the store. I see this:

Warning Sign #1: Who let that cover out of the pre-production stages? Mariah's humongous fake juggz are bigger than her thighs.

Anyway, I turn the damn thing over. The back is even more whack.

Yet I STILL bought it! 'Twas doody and then some.

My little sister bought that album (and probably never touched it) and we used to call it "Rainbow Butt".

There aren't many but the most recent is the new U2 offering. sad

The last Janet album too.... sad

Wow... well the U2 album is my album of the year, most likely my album of the decade, so far (whofarted). I also liked the Janet album well enough at the time; it's by no means a Janet "classic", but it's definitely a step up from All For You.

[*]Conscious Daughters - Gamers (1994)
"Funky Expedition" was the jam on this CD, but the rest of it was so lackluster. Didn't live up to the first single.

OMG you didn't like "Gamers"? the beat to the title track was Hard...I remember bumping that shit the whole summer of 96...them girls were hard...I also had the pleasure of meeting them as well...hope they come back out...

I bought that album about 12 years ago, just for the John Cale connection. I'd been to one of his shows and I was obsessively buying anything he'd touched. Musically, I think it's a pretty interesting album, but it's ruined (like everything she ever did) by her complete inability to sing.
