Young Love - Janet Jackson

Young Love by JANET ....Alright, How many of y'all remember this track??? She performed it on AB w/ dick clark. He told her how " darn " cute she was....and JJ got all shy and sh**..... She also talked about her earring w/ the key to the animal cages..

I love this song.....

This was the very first Janet song I ever heard. It's a very cute song--180 degrees from where Janet is now of course.

Awww who could forget cute Janet with her key earring, her first nose job, her tight jeans, baggy shirt, hanging belt and big boots? Young Love was hot but Say You Do and Come Give Your Love to Me were the jams.
I may be young but I'm not foolish... music
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

OK, now THAT SONG is a jam. The beat, the lyrics, the groove -- everything is on point. Janet's vocals had this pristine, innocent air to them. That 1982 debut had some cool jams on it... notably "Say You Do," "Don't Mess Up This Good Thing" (that's a very unappreciated track right there! GROOVIN!!!!!) and "Come Give Your Love To Me."

For me, this album (and the Dream Street record) SEPARATES the Janet "fans" (post-Control) from them REAL JANET HEADS that know what's up with her debut & Dream Street (1984).

YOU GOTTA BE A TRUE JANET HEAD to dig in the crates pre-Control.

I give all the TRUE JANET HEADS props -- the ones who would scream and hoot if Janet busted out with anything from JJ or Dream Street at a concert (and not give the "post-Control" blank look). I'm talking about that VINTAGE s**t!!

...while we're at it. Let's give it up for "The Magic Is Working."

oNE*!!!

lol Whenever anyone tells me Janet's had cheek implants, I tell them to go back and look at her when she was a baby and teenager - she's always had those cheeks! Beautiful.

Why wasn't these songs on her Design Of A Decade" cd? It's like she tossed these songs off. Like she's embarrassed about her early days! disbelief

I thought it was avaiable used for a decent price but I looked at Amazon and they only appear to be selling the one disc edition, with the same tracklisting as the American "Design". You could probably find it on Ebay or a used site for an IK price used.

Good call. I like Janet's voice over their productions. I can't figure out how it flopped back then, given Rene & Angela's hotness? confuse
