Teen Queens" of the late 90's, Brandy & Monica, have reportedly been in the studio prepping a new collaborative effort. This new song is going to be featured on both artists upcoming cd's. Brandy's album is looking at an April release on Jive records, while Monica's album is going to be released in June by J Records. Both artists are very happy about the new record. "Maybe Monica and I will be #1 again for 13 weeks", says Brandy. At presstime Monica was unavailable to make comment. In other related news, Brandy's latest effort "Afrodisiac", has been named by MSN.com as the #8 album of 2004. Monica's 2003 cd "After the Storm", has recently been certified platinum(1,000,000+) by the RIAA.

this is an obvious one, since the last hit of either girl was 'The Boy Is Mine'....why not need re-hash it? You know, if it pays the bills.....

my god that song "the boy is mine" was annoying.....

Was it relly that good? err no.....

As far as overplayed songs go, I rate "boy is mine" as one of the worst ever.

It's sad that once Britney and Christina rolled around, pop forgot about the moment Brandy and Monica had in the 90s. They were the sole teen queens from 1994-1998.

This is all talk. Toni Braxton was set to release a new album right after being kicked off her label as well and it was set for release less than a year before the last. So it was supposed to be out in 2002 (her last album came out in 2001)....and it's 2005! Also, Monica's "So Gone" was Top Ten on the pop charts while "U Shoulda..." was top twenty, and frankly, is notable since it seemed to chart straight out of nowhere, when it appeared the the promotion for the album was done, over a year after the album's release!
