Way too much credit to compare him with Sly

Oh good, he's still alive. Where the hell has he been? the last album was a bit of a sleeper, but he was great live. I hope he can put a better mix of songs together on the next cd. He's got some talent and definitely star quality. He better hit the gym before March though.. [Edited 1/12/05 16:36pm] ______________________________________________

the comparison comes from a extremly talented artist pissing away time with drugs and stupidity. "Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

Soulchild82 said: All over again Hardly. Sly was the real deal and D is not. D has no where near the songwriting skill or passion of Mr. Stewart. If he did, he would have put out more than 2 CDs over the last 10 years. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

True he does sound prince like but Untitled was still a great song & Brown Sugar and Vodoo were great Lps (PRince would sound better on it but anyways...). He did get music out of the mid -90's crap & B that ws destroying the world at the time. It was him and Erykah Badu that changed the times. Anyone ever hear the AZUR unrealead LP: Its good if you can get your hands on it. Internet is your best bet her is some info on it: Azur As many Zender fans will know, Azur (pronounced as-you-are or az-u-r) was the project that never was. After Stuart's "I Quit" from Jamiroquai, he set out to return with his friend Don-E and the Azur project. They signed a £500,000 deal with Cheeba Sound of Virgin Records, and the album was to feature artists such as US R'n'B Soul star, D' Angelo and session bass player Pino Palladino. Although many releases were expected, the singles and album kept being put back until eventually the project disappeared. The bands name was taken off of the American Virgin Records site and although they were bombarded by e-mails from Zender fans still nothing arose. Since, there have been rumors on why the band never made it, one quoting that the reason Virgin dropped Azur was because of artist/actor Tyrese's album release at that time. Maybe the style and sound was too similar, who knows! I guess only Stuart knows all the real facts why Azur never made it and although many of us now have a copy there has never been an official release of the album. Below is an un-official track listing for the album: 01: Baby I've Got To Know 02: Say I Want You Back 03: Azur (As You Are) 04: Suddenly 05: Love Is So Cold (feat. D' Angelo) 06: Anything To Make It Through 07: All These Things Remind Me 08: Get To Heaven 09: Sunshine 10: Picture In My Heart "Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

Just 'cause George and Sly tripped out on drugs doesn't mean you'll have the same creative juices they did if you follow in their footsteps. This is just plain stupid.
i'm with you on that one. all that gettin' high and shit is played out. He's not a youngin' anymore. he should have more sense than that. when we get older we should put away childish things.... man oh man it don't enhance nuthin but a addiction!

Why are people so preoccupied with his apparent weight gain? It happens to entertainers like it happens to the rest of us. Unless you're willing to post a picture of yourself for the same scrutiny, it's probably best to just zip it.

because this guy threw us some abs and six-packs in our faces in a video that was unwatchable for a straight guy, a video that totally killed a more than average song! Yes, I laugh about that fact that he now looks like a fat version of Ol' Dirty Bastard.....thank God, it means at least that we won't have such video's anymore!!!!
