Tori Amos ~ Sleeps With Butterflies My sister just emailed to tell me she had heard this on NPR. She said it is the most beautiful song she has ever heard by Tori ~ my sister is not familiar with Tori's complete catalogue but she has heard enough to form a respectable opinion. My first impression, after hearing Sleeps With Butterflies was that this
would be another "Scarlet's Walk" kind of album but now that I've heard the brilliant track "Hoochie Woman", I've changed my mind. I think she could actually be back on track and reconnected with the old and more original Tori sounds this time round again. And the lyrics are way cool: He's cheating on me with a Hoochie Woman... Keep your hoochie you can keep the house and the bank accounts 'cause boys I bring home the Bacon... -insert insane crowd cheering here-

i have to admit, i'm not hugely crazy about Sleeps with Butterflies, although I do like it.
From what I've read about the rest of the album, it's not at all Scarlet's Walk part 2... it's supposed to be very diverse. I'm sure we'll be hearing more of it soon.... can't wait!! | |
