I love the two tracks they have been playing on the radio but I want something funky. I still haven't bought it yet. Since I'm not overly enthused by it, I've been waiting around hoping one of my friends would buy it and copy it for me. I'm going to buy it because I'm tired of waiting.

Best songs...

"Still In Love"
"Honey Call"
"Makaveli Never Lies"
"I Love Him Too"
'My Body's Hungry"
"High Yellow Girl"
"Baby I'm Your Fiend"

There are a few annoying hip-hop flavored tracks that I usually skip ("The Macking Game" and another one),but when Teena sticks to her tried and true formula (soulful, jazzy ballads with powerful vocals),the results are really impressive. There's even a cool duet with Rick James "I've Got You".

btw, several weeks ago,Teena appeared on an episode of "The Parkers" where she was shown at a nightclub(?) performing the song "My Body's Hungry".

Yeah,I always find myself skipping over the hip-hop-styled tracks "Off The Chain","Recycle Love To Hate" and "The Macking Game".If she had removed these three numbers, this would be her most consistent album since 1983's 'Robbery'.

Frankly,I'm a little disappointed at the weak promotion this CD received.Cash Money/Universal is a major label, but they sure didn't seem to promote this CD effectively. It sold well during it's first week, and the single "Still In Love" was doing extremely well on R&B radio stations. But instead of building on the momentum, they just let it slide down the charts.Wonderful songs like "Honey Call" and "Baby I'm Your Fiend" should have been released as follow-up singles with proper promotion and great videos.

Oh well, maybe next time around they'll get it right lol

I like "The Mackin game" because it features my girl's Medusa & MC Lyte...
