I'm all for yelling at Connie and the establishment, but it's not like African Americans don't get Oscars anymore and as Sos pointed out, even Denzel and Berry's performances weren't this highly touted. While you're right about African Americans being overlooked in the past (Angela and Laurance not winning for "What's Love..." sucked!) I think that's going to be pretty hard to argue. He's pretty much the favorite, but sometimes even a sure thing doesn't win because eveyrone else might vote for someone else becuase they think he's got it tied up "so what does my vote matter....I'll vote for this guy.".

Then again maybe Okay is saying we all know why he won't get the Emmy specfically...becuase its for TV!

...read my statements over again, minus the bias....Jaime Foxx is sweeping the majority of the critic awards...this has *never* happened in film history (to for an african american performance)...and it rarely happens regardless of race.....this feat is evidence that the hollywood industry is embrassing Foxx's performance and will crown him come Oscar night just like they did last year w/ Charlize Theron...

remove race from the equation for just one second.....if Foxx loses i will eat crow..but currently, all blinkers, hard nipples and blinders are pointing towards a relatively easy sweep for foxx..

but go on and think negatively about his chances..you have that right.
