What happened to The Jets? They were a young Latino group from the 80's that had very good pop songs like "Make It Real, Rocket to You, You Got It All Over Him etc. They were all brothers and sisters and were very talented. Where are they now???

"Curiosity" is a nice slice of 80s cheese. I liked that one the most out of all their singles.

OMG, this is so ironic. A co-worker was just asking me if I had any Jet material. From what I remember, they were a one-hit wonder with "Crush." Plus, the leasd singers voice was annoying as hell. I hope the Jets keep on flying and never decide 2 land.

I seen the Jets in concert twice, once opening for Kool and the Gang (Emergency Tour 87) and headling at Red Rocks I used to like them but that red headed dude looked so adopted.

Your memory isn't so good. The Jets U.S. chart history: single (peak position on Billboard's Hot 100) 1. Crush On You (3) 2. Private Number (47) 3. You Got It All (3) 4. Cross My Broken Heart (7) 5. I Do You (20) 6. Rocket 2 U (6) 7. Make It Real (4) 8. Sendin' All My Love (88) 9. You Better Dance (59) 10. The Same Love (87) FIVE U.S. top 10 hits!

My favorite is their Bobby Nunn produced track "Rocket 2 U". I just finished listening to their Christmas song "It Doesn't Feel Like Christmas In My Heart" all last month. Andy is a four letter word.

Ex-Moderator | Interstingly, they're from Mpls. The bad girl in the family that got kicked out of the group went to a neighboring school of mine.
They were good, clean fun. |

Trivia for ya... That song ("Rocket 2 U") was originally offered to Earth Wind and Fire for inclusinon on their 1987 comeback album 'Touch The World'.They wisely turned it down. It's a great song, but perhaps a little too "bubblegum" for an older band like EW&F.

Yes,David Z. worked on the Jets albums. He was a frequent Prince collaborator.Prince was a huge fan of the Jets and in 1986,there were even rumors that the Jets would open a few of Prince's 'Parade' shows. This never happened, but Prince did offer them a song---"Neon Telephone"---for their second album. They foolishly turned it down. But he still allowed them to film their "I Do You" video at Paisley Park. I saw them in concert in March 1986 on a bill with Ready For The World and Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh.I thought The Jets were the most entertaining act.

Believe it or not,one of the girls in the group actually works at the San Francisco Airport I always thought the lead (female) singer could have went solo and made it big.

I saw the Jets perform at Great Adventure in NJ (now 6 flags). THey were awesome. Played all their instruments live. The older girl was on keys and carried the whole show!
They did I would Die 4 u/Baby I'm A Star live, and were very Revolution-like. THey are from Tonga. The redhead was adopted, and I think he had a solo album. The best is the remix of Curiosity which has bits of "crush on you" mixed in.

About a year or two ago, I bought what I thought was a "Best of the Jets" compilation. It was actually all their hits rerecorded by some of the newer family members, with the 'ol head jets handling most of the production. It was aight, but a little lifeless compared to the originals. I would've loved to have seen them live.
I thought the girls were cute My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
