Songs you never want to hear again!

"i will survive" by gloria gaynor is the most played out disco tune ever made and if i hear it one more time i'm going to seriously hurt somebody! biggrin

which songs do you wish to never hear again?

In the same 'tired ass disco' field...

'YMCA'...it still cracks me up that people go crazy over this song at parties, events...especially sports events....I just crack up when old folks dance to this tune...if they only realized what the song was REALLY about!

'Celebration'....seriously....when I'm at a party and this song plays...the party is over for me!

Other cliche party songs in the rock field...

'Old Time Rock & Roll'-Bob Segar
'Taking Care of Business'...cant remember who sings this
'We Will Rock You'-Queen...love the band..but this song drives me crazy
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

There are two disco songs I hate. "I Will Survive" and "Ring My Bell".

But the biggest song that I never want to hear again is Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy." barf

i don't know who the hell sings it but there's an R&B ballad called (i'm assuming) "i need you now" (because that's all he sings when he's not caterwauling in some extended melismagasm) that plays AT LEAST four times a night on my co-worker's radio. i think perhaps it is the most loathsome song known to man...but "don't worry be happy" is up there, truly. nod

Songs I'm tired of hearing (and never want to hear again):

Kool & The Gang - Celebration (when that song comes on at a party, I stop dancing)
Aqua - Barbie Girl
Flusher - Yeah!
Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive (sadly for me, it probably will)
Cher - Believe

...there's more. I'm brainfarting right now.

i'm waiting for the follow-up song, "how will we get the dogs back in?" i think dianne warren could write it, and i think maybe it could be a duet between bette midler and mariah carey.

i didn't realise "celebration" annoyed so many people. luckily, i haven't heard it for quite some time. i almost wanted to add "ring my bell" to my list but i actually don't mind that song too much, though i can definitely see how it can be annoying.

"It's Raining Men"

special emphasis goes to hearing this at the gay bar. It embarrasses me that all the gay boys flood the dance floor when that comes on. I THOUGHT WE WERE SPOSED TO BE FASHIONABLE!!!!!

Celebration; does anyone really want to hear this song played at their wedding/bar mitzvah/first communion/last rights anymore? It's so ridicliously overplayed and cliched anymore...

"this is how we do it" - montel jordan (apparently we do it once and are never heard from again)

"in da club" - 50 cent (i'm not a 50 cent hater or lover, but just got tired of that song...

"whoop there it is" (either version)-tag team/95 south (i from the chi and this song came out right when jordan, scottie and crew were whippin' ass all across the NBA and we were in the middle of the championships and black radio decided to adopt this song as an anthem for the team rolleyes )

"mambo #5" - self explanatory

"bad" by MJ (again, not an mijac hater or lover, but the lyrics sound so damn cheesy)

anything by lil jon

"my neck, my back" -- (my god! i hated to hear little preteen girls singing this song on the street)

"parents just don't understand" (loved it when i was 13...but not at 30)

"that's just my baby daddy" by some broke-azz rapper (not that i hear this song anymore, but i'd like to make it a law that this song be forever banned)

....more 2 come....
"I got my technique down and everything, I don't be tickling or nothin'."
