Tears for Fears;does Curt Smith makes the difference? From the album "Songs of the big chair" I loved the music of Tears for Fears.
When Curt Smith left the band, and Roland Orzabal continued TFF on his own, I even liked TFF better. I saw him and his band live at the time of "Raoul & the kings of Spain" and it was GREAT. I also bought Curt Smith's solo album on sales, but I didn't like that one much, but Roland Orzabal's solo album is a great one too. When I listened to their new album "everybody loves a happy ending" I immediately liked the Roland songs, and the Curt songs sounded weaker to me.... I realized that the return of Curt Smith doesn't make a difference to me, maybe it makes the band even weaker..... The nice thing about Curt's return is probably the Beatles influence he creates in the songs, just like he did in Sowing the seeds of love. Don't misunderstand me, I do like Curt Smith his voice and music, but without him I think TFF would do fine too! What is your opinion about this? the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

I'm still sad Jon Cryer had to change his name to work in TFF.
I do love them though. | |

I do love them though. That's a good one. Roland can barely keep those teeth in his mouth! Actually I didn't know Curt did anything. I thought he was the band's Andrew Ridgely. [Edited 1/7/05 15:37pm] Check this song out at:

he has to be gay...he looks beautiful..but way to castro... Neither of them are! I met them backstage when TFF played LA around thanksgiving! They both have kids and are both married (to women)... I thought they were both gay as well, but I was wrong. Everyone is allowed one mistake. Famous Last Words

I think both Roland and Curt were equally as important in the band. But when Curt wasn't in the group you could tell there was definitely a void. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

My favorite TFF albums are 'The Hurting' and 'Songs From the Big Chair', and the Curt songs on 'Sowing the Seeds...' are the best songs on the album. You can never take one of the key members out of the band and expect the same magic to be there again... Long live the reunion of Curt and Roland... I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

BTW, 'Duckie' was in Tears For Fears? Where have I been? I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

I saw them on a Today Show summer concert and they (mainly Roland) were being "overly witty" with their responses to the interviewer's (forgot her name) questions. It got to the point where she asked them (mainly Roland) to "cut the sarcasm". They were kinda annoying,though...
I just wish Roland would play more lead guitar - he's pretty good. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
