Salt N'Pepa were some bad girls I really loved them in the beginning of their career when they were all dookie roped and bambooed out...not only that the were coming HARD!!!!! on some "I'll take your man" and "My mic sounds nice" type shit....

They were definitely groundbreakers and I appreciate their body of work. I have all of their albums. My favorite being "Blacks' Magic" with "Very Necessary" and "Hot, Cool + Vicious" a respective second and third. All emcees (whether male or female) need to give props to S-N-P for making hip hop the commercial force that it is today.

thumbs up! for S-N-P.

Good Lord they needed a better stylist for this pic! lol

I still need their "best of". Was never nuts about them but I really dug "What A Man" & "Shoop", some old ones too (Chick On the Side, the obvious stuff)... smile

They are my girls! I absolutely love "Push It." I actually did a cover of that with a few sorority sisters years ago. I still have the tape. I also love "Very Necessary." They rock!

They released great singles, which is why it sucks that they never released a proper greatest hits/best of in America (and the one that was an import seems to be out of print and I don't think available used). I would love to see a reunion, with Spinderella.

I met the girls when I was photographing concerts.....and they were not nice. Probably the rudest act I've accounted, although the dj girl was lovely.
