I saw him open for the Monkees at the Minnesota State Fair. Is this the show you saw?

Isn't Prince one of the only artists who won't give him permission to parody his songs?

HUGE Weird Al fan here! woot!

I've seen him in concert a few times and he puts on one HELL of a great show! nod Guaranteed to always be lots of fun. biggrin

He's also a genuinely nice guy to his fans.

I hate when people bag on him as if he's nothing more than a worthless lame novelty act or something...he actually is very talented and very clever. I think people need to give his music more of a listen than just making assumptions from the random video or song they might see or hear once awhile.

Those polka medleys are fantastic, btw. lol

No, I saw him at Valley Fair probably around 1983 or something, ages ago.

Yes. AL has asked him numerous times but gets the NO. Recently he asked EMINEM and he said sure...but AL would not be able to release the song as a single.

I watch the videos last night. I have a new appreciation for FAT. And Beverly Hillbillies. PURE GENIUS. To take a song like Bev hillbillies and put it to Dire Straits Money for Nothing...I have no idea how he came up with that. I am not a big fan of that parody, but when you realize what it is, you just have to sit back and appreciate it.
