shrug Doesn't strike me as "strange" in the least. They seem to be annoyingly, happily in love...let 'em renew their vows.

Because it was the last cheap publicity stunt in the world that Madonna hasn't done yet. It was really just a matter of time.

why do people who dislike Madonna even care?

Oh that's right because Madonna still is the biggest star in the world and seems to keep going and going.

She will one day take the place the place of Elvis as the singer with the most top 10 singles. Just 8 to go

i have no doubt that madonna's next record will be a huge, undeniable hit. she's done it like, what, four times before? people would say madonna's over and then here she comes...pumping her pussy with something new for the masses and everyone just eats it up. its why i love her...and why she gets on my nerves. the love part is obvious but the hate part is because i feel like i never know who she is and just when i think i get her, she switches her ass up on me. lol anyway, i'm just dying to heat what's next. if there's one thing madonna knows how to do its entertain. she'll be back with a vengeance this next time around and because the tour was so successful, people will be much more forgiving about american life's quirks. personally, i loved the cd (and those who remember will recall that i had very low expectations for it) but i understand why many didn't receive it well.

I like Madonna's approach to making music. She's recording a bunch of demos, trying new things, and will soon decide what works and what doesn't.So far,we've heard that the new album will have a "trip-hop sound" to it,but by the time it's released,it will probably be something entirely different.Unlike many other female pop artists, she's never been afraid to try new things.

The new CD will sound nothing like 'Ray Of Light'.Madonna hates to repeat herself. But,you apparently didn't read the rest of my post...

I wish she'd move away from Electronica, tho. I want her to go back to basics and focus on good songs rather than fiddly music. confused

I like electropop and this is a genre that she is thriving in.This music is more experimental and interesting than much of what's going on in R&B these days.

True. But her last 3/4 albums have been like that. She needs a change.

I disagree. The last three albums featured alot of electronica sounds, but they're distinct albums.

I'm not disputing that. But I still think she needs to move into a different genre. How about a Rock & Roll album? smile

Her recent albums already feature alot of rock-sounding songs ("Hollywood","Intervention","Candy Perfume Girl","Amazing","I'm So Stupid",etc),so that's a genre that she's already ventured into. And her 'Revisted and Remixed' EP featured several of the songs from 'American Life' remixed into loud, relentless rock tunes.
