i'm ready for a metal comeback ...Motley Crue is a good start...their new song If I Die Tommorow is very good..Velvet Revolver has sold well all year and Guns N Roses greatest Hits has been in the top 40 for months....i think we are starting see a change toward metal music getting popular again and im all for it!

i don't think metal is ready to come back yet...nobody knows how to do it without looking like a nostalgia act or a novelty act. if a band can do for metal what green day did for punk, i can see how that niche could come back. til then, i guess we'll just keep waiting for that axl album.
