Songs that inspired T-shirt slogans

We've all ran into them. Name songs and the big, gaudy T-shirt slogans they inspired.

"CHOOSE LIFE" (Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go)
"CAN'T TOUCH THIS" (MC Hammer)
"DONT WORRY, BE HAPPY" (Bobby McFerrin)
"I GOT THE MAGIC STICK" (Lil Kim/50 Cent)
"FRANKIE SAYS... RELAX!" (Frankie Goes To Hollywood)
"DA BUTT" (E.U.)

Well, here's some more T-shirt slogans...

"WHO LET THE DOGS OUT"
"FATTY GIRL" (LL Cool J, Keith Murray, Luda)

It was definitely of the biggest singles of the '90s in terms of sheer airplay and simply being everywhere. I don't have the statistics handy to say whether it was one of the best selling US singles ever.

"2 LEGIT 2 QUIT" (MC Hammer)

I saw a few derelicts around town with those back in the day.

No. I'm talking about songs that inspired actual T-shirt slogans, not songs that talk about T-shirts.

You know, when you walk around town and you see someone wearing the Jadakiss "WHY" T-shirt while you're at the bank -- that kind of thing.

Does anyone remember the popular '90s athlete Bo Jackson and that famous "BO KNOWS" catch phrase? Wasn't there a music video back in the day called "BO KNOWS"?

Of course! I loved me some Bo Jackson. He was a KC Royal (baseball) and played football as well.

How about "I'm Too Sexy for my _____." (Right Said Fred.) I really don't know if this was ever a t-shirt slogan, but it's catchy enough to have been one.

I wouldn't put it past the American public to sport something like that. We did have fanny packs afterall. giggle

Hmmm.... I don't remember. I know that he and Bo Diddley did a Nike commercial full of "Bo Knows" scenarios. In the end, I think Bo didn't know "Diddley!" biggrin
