I didn't see that post! We can only hope she returns in some kind of alter ego! Man, I'm thrilled that I got to see her a couple months ago if this is true. I would have had to jump off a bridge if I never got to see her perform live! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Let's hope that she quits like Prince quit! Music is in her blood. Thankfully she said she would continue recording. I would jump off a bridge if she quit music alltogether! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

She played my hometown Nottingham a couple of months back and the reviews weren't thrilling. One reviewer claimed she looked fed up and bored. I liked the fact she was such a ferocious personality on state but off it, she's this quiet, shy introspective person. At least we might get more studio albums!

Well, I'm glad I at least got to see her perform this year. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

i'm glad i got to see her on the "to bring you my love" tour...in my opinion, she was at the very top of her game at that point.

Yes, I'm sure she's retired from live performing just like Bowie, Elton John and every other rock performer who's announced this over the years.
Don't worry, her record company will be putting the screws to her to get out on the road at least two albums from now; she doesn't have the record sales that would enable her to tell the label to go screw themselves. Not to mention that it will hurt her in the pocketbook and she'll come crawling back just like all the rest. Sounds like she was having a bad night and things are said in haste. Oh, and I agree that the TBYML tour was PJ at her best.
