MARIAH "its like that" Well once again a track has "leaked" from Mariahs new Upcoming CD. I love it when people say "leaked", especially when its Label people that send it to radio to play, so did it really "leak". But anyway, I have only heard about 2 minutes of this song and once again "its the same old Modern RB/Hip Hop sound". This song is total production, although i will say that I do think Mariahs vocals are better on this track than the previous few CD's, but as far as a direction, this track is aimed at the MTV/BET crowd that has no attention span whatsoever. So far the feedback from Mariah Fans has been very mixed, which is not good, but this CD is aimed for "radio" not for the fans. as far as production, its pretty lame, JD is the producer on this track and its the typical thing. JD sings the intro hook, BLAH BLAH BLAH. Next up the writing, MARIAH although not a good writer as far as lyrics, but at least she writes her own stuff. However, the Lyrics to this song are pretty bad, anytime someone writes "me and my girls" or sings their name in a track u know where the song is going. As usual with MARIAH, i just wanna see the video and see how good she is gonna look, Musically she still has doesnt something where i go WOW!! Alicia Keys and Norah Jones do that Every record, but MARIAH has yet to do that with me, And I love Mariah, but she has yet to impress me with a record, granted I have only heard 3 tracks from this new cd, but so far, its the same old producction, bad lyrics and cliches that have ruined RB music. that is so sad. i love mariah but what the hell is she doing? i haven't heard any of the new songs yet but i can only imagine what they sound like. what a waste of talent. the problem is she is trying desperatley to keep up with the younger artists but it seems so forced. she should really just be herself and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing or what's hot. | |

It's possible she really is being herself (but unlikely). If so, I liked her much better when she was "faking" it as the girl-next-door with the beautiful voice.
